Frame and tin type date to the late 1800s and in fairly good condition considering age. Frame could use a good cleaning and TLC. There is some foxing and staining on the picture mat. Square nail construction on frame.
The frame measures 16" tall x 14" wide; the picture opening dimensions are 11.5" tall x 9.5" wide; the frame is approx. 2.5" deep.
