Jatoba (Brazillian hot Cherry) Bowl

Like North American Cherry, Jatoba has red-orange brown heartwood and the rarely seen pale sapwood. I feel that it's a great shame that we don't see more creators show off the beautiful contrast that some woods have. On this piece the sapwood has some signs of spalting with dark zone lines and some darker contrasting spots. This piece feels hefty and substantial in the hand.

7.75" wide and 3" tall. Sized for a hearty entree.
Finished with Linseed oil, food safe. hot
