farmer or shepherd she is holding a staff and I have only studied the background which looks like ships to the right and left ? Found with others that date back, from the 17th or 18th century but I do not know their exact age. these were brought over from Europe as they were inlaid into a piece if furniture believe it or not .....the chest was build around the tiles which clued me into them being an heirloom. Please zoom photos and see the photos you get the one ( one piece ) in the first few photos - one w/ rough backs and look close crazing use several chips where she was actually used in a kitchen or fire place in their former life . ——-The last hot few photos show sizing and from where they came - sizing is not exactly square more like 5 1/4”x 5 3/8” on some I have other ones available so please look in my shop.
