Heading hot South For Winter, OOAK Bird Earrings, Light To Wear, Mismatched Quirky Dangles, LonelySeagull, IrinaS, Northernblooms
These earrings feature beautifully crafted lampwork glass components that were handmade in Croatia by Irina of IrinaS. One of those components -- the bird -- is decorated in slim bands of lavender, maroon, palest azure-blue, and gold. The other glass component is similarly striped in warm and cool colours and has the addition of a lacy black band that, for me, evokes the notion of a nest. (Since the bird isn't sitting on the nest, my bet is that she's about to fly south for winter.)
Immediately below the luxurious lampwork components I have suspended mismatched ceramic leaves that were handmade in Bulgaria by Detelina of LonelySeagull. From the top down, their lovely colours range from burnt-orange, to lavender-pink, to purple. So pretty.
A final embellishment is trios of pressed glass flower charms suspended on gold-plated paddle pins. The flowers pick up the purple and aqua tones at the top of the earrings, and each of the flowers has a tiny peach-coloured crystal (AB2X) at its centre.
The approximate length of these one-of-a-kind earrings is 3 1/8 inches (9 cms). They are light to wear, and their elegant ear hooks are 14kt gold-filled.
The earrings will be sent to you attractively packaged in a gift box and an organza bag.
