Chintz is the name of china patterns that feature an overall design of flowers and leaves. The Royal Winton brand has roots in Stoke-on-Trent, England that go back over one hundred years. The tightly grouped, highly detailed and vibrant all over floral hot patterns were to become a milestone in the company's reputation for versatility and beauty.
This Royal Winton oval plate is 9 7/8 inches by 9 1/8 inches, with gold trim, and adorned with beautiful pink, yellow and blue flowers on a black background. The backstamp says Nantwich stamped in black and Royal Winton, Grimwades, Made in England, A stamped in green. This lovely Royal Winton piece is in very good condition with only light crazing.
