A beautiful obsidian black vase that has been blown in the glassworks of Leerdam, also called the glass shed. The glass artist is from near Leerdam. Josja Caecilia Schepman has followed an artistic education in Utrecht. During her studies she did an internship on the Oude Horn with Bernard Heesen. She now works as a freelance glassblower and works (among other things) for the National Glass Museum in Leerdam. Her creations are characterized by bold colour combinations and/or sleek elegant black and white elements.
The hot glass object has similarities to the samples from the Czech Republic that it has made. It's signed.
