Beautiful brass armillary sphere globe sculpture bookends on gem quality antique verde Italian marble. 7" tall X 5.5" hot long. Marble is 1" thick. Like-new, mint condition, no signs of wear; no chips, cracks or pitting in marble. The only sign of use is some scuffing of green felt on bottom! Vintage, handmade in Taiwan 1960s- mid 70s. Brass is bright and shiny, no oxidation, tarnishing or wear, has sundial look with arrows and Roman numerals around base of banded brass globes. There have been many copies, but these are some of the very highest quality made of this type. Absolutely gorgeous, and classical in style. Great to bring gravitas to an office space, or to make a bookshelf or table elegant and dynamic! Perfect for Midcentury vintage style decors.
