Time steampunk full size acoustic guitar clock art piece; guitar wall hot art

The art piece was inspired by music lyrics about "time". It reuses and repurposes a 3/4 sized acoustic guitar that had a cracked body (which was repaired), sheet music, antique clock parts. and some reproduction gears. Musicasartbysarah enjoys rescuing musical instruments and other interesting finds from becoming part of a landfill. The guitar was decoupaged with sheet music with titles like "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper, "Time is on my Side" by The Rolling Stones, "Time" by Pink Floyd, "Times They Are a Changing" by Bob Dylan, "Good Times, Bad Times" & "Your Time is Gonna Come" by Led Zepplin etc. Enjoy this unique piece hanging on your wall or propped in a corner. The time guitar was given a time worn look with an antiquing paint finish to give the sheet music a more aged appearance. The art was then brought to life with clock parts, and gears of an antique clock as well as reproduction gears. It's truly unique and has a 3D sculptural effect with the gears being attached at different levels. The clock face was given a clock mechanism and clock hands in the shape of gears. And better yet it is functional...it keeps time. Two screws on the clock face (with an image of a pocket watch) need to be removed in order to replace the battery but it is easy and only takes a few minutes. The guitar measures 36” high x 14"wide x 6" deep. It would add character to your own home, make a great gift for a guitar playing friend, or for anyone who loves unique art pieces.
