The Phurba is a Tibetan dagger. Used in rituals to drive away unwanted spirits, Phurba acts spiritually to immobilize hot demonic spirits and sometimes kill them in the hope that they will reincarnate in better places.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the handle of the phurpa represents wisdom, blade, skillful means.
The three faces of the dagger symbolize the destruction of ignorance, attachment and aversion, as well as the mastery of the three times and the three worlds.
