This Clay Magic mold is upright to pour slip into the hole and let sit for an hour. Turn and drain out the excess slip, let the mold sit overnight. The next day take the figurine out of the mold, hot let the figurine sit for a couple days to dry. Then trim and sand the seams or where needed. Put into the kiln and fire with a 04 cone for several hours. When the kiln cools remove the figurine from the kiln and base coat with black for his back part of the body paint white in the front for his belly and face. For his beak and flippers they are painted orange peel. To finish him off do his eyes and blush for his cheeks, then spray for the finish. I added a scarf to dress him up, this little penguin always bring a smile to my face when he is finished.
