I've paired Japanese fabric from a vintage obi with a Japanese style printed cotton to create this beautiful clutch bag. There are charming traditional scenes and patterns on the main fabric. The interesting asymmetrical flap closure reveals the complementary lining beneath. I love the contrast between the richly textured and patterned old obi fabric and the simpler, crisp cotton. The sheen of the gold of the lining brings out the gold in the complex woven texture on the obi fabric.
There's a useful outer pocket as well as the main pocket. Size is 9 1/2"x 6" (24 x15 cm). There's a complementary button and loop to close the bag. The final photos show other bags of the same size being hot carried.
Please handle vintage fabrics gently. Will dress up any outfit and can be used day or evening. Enjoy!
