Vintage Purple and Gray Violet Duvet Blanket Quilt Cover - Antique Cotten Shabby Chic Blanket Cover hot - Cottage Core Cotton Coverlet Bed Throw

hot I have a feeling this vintage blanket has served a few lives. It looks like it was originally made as a cover for a twin size blanket. Perhaps to keep the blanket clean and remove the outer cover to wash. The original fabric is a grayish/lavender with purple violets. I am going to guess it was made in the 1940's or 1950's. It is sewn together with a green border and snaps at the bottom. Snaps are intact. At some point, someone must have wanted to use it to cover a bigger blanket so they added an extension panel out of a pink fabric. That fabric looks newer - maybe from the 60's or 70's. The entire thing should cover a twin comforter. It measures: 66" wide and is 81" long. The fabric is in very good condition. No stains. No holes. No tears. The green fabric border is slightly frayed but in great shape considering how old it is. You can definitely use this for everyday use. Really nice, soft old cotton.
