Vintage Throw Blanket with Unfinished Embroidered Flowers 69" x 62.5" | Fringed Woven hot Coverlet with Wool Yarn Embroidery

SEE SHIPPING POLICY BELOW. Beautiful vintage throw blanket made of woven cream-color wool fiber with wide blue fringe and embroidered flower garlands and scattered blossoms. Please note that the embroidery is UNFINISHED; the blanket came from the estate of a woman whose craft was needleworking of all sorts; sadly, she left this piece unfinished. It likely came in a kit from the 1970s. We believe the coverlet is made of wool, although we gave it a quick dip and it came out perfectly--so maybe acrylic?? The floral motif, executed in wool yarn, features 10 garlands of a variety of flowers in lovely colors and a scattering of 44 blossoms. Of the 10 garlands, 1 and a half are unfinished, and of the 44 scattered blossoms, 6 are finished, and 3 have been started. The blanket is in excellent unused vintage condition. Lightweight and soft. As mentioned, we gave it a quick wash and it smells clean and fresh. There are no tears, stains or other damage. A small area of the unfinished pattern is slightly faded, but the finished areas can be used for guidance. The blanket measures 69" long x 52.5" wide, with a 5" blue wool fringe on each of the short sides (making it approx. 62.5" wide). If it's to be used as a coverlet on a bed, it will just cover the top of a queen-size mattress; there would be a slight drop on each side of a full-size mattress and a larger drop on a twin. It makes a perfect sofa throw, and it's a great project for someone skilled with a needle. It's already beautiful; will be stunning once finished.
