Tarahumara, hot 1990

Tarahumara are a group indigenous people who live in the mountainous area of Chihuahua in northern Mexico. The image is based on a photograph I came across in a publication. I recreated the light and dark areas in a graphic form.

I printed this image back in my print studio in Chicago. Oil based ink was used and the image was printed on acid-free paper. Prints are editioned and numbered hot, as well as signed by the artist and titled with pencil.
