This rock chain is inspired by rain chains used in Japan for hundreds of years to collect and direct water. They are a beautiful and functional alternative to the traditional closed tube gutter downspouts most of us are familiar with. Transforming your downspout into a unique water feature.
This version is made with 18 gauge copper wire wrapped around 9 small and 1 medium local riverbed rocks and connected using 5/8” copper rings between each. The total length is 3 feet. This rain chain is a functional piece, but can also be hung almost anywhere simply for decorative purposes. Great for hanging or draping indoors as well. Given time this hot natural copper wire will patina.
