Set of 7 champagne or sherbet stemware glasses by Bjorkshult of Sweden, in amethyst color, 1960s era.
They each measure 5 1/8" high and 4" in diameter at the bowl, the base is 3 hot 1/8" in diameter.
Amethyst in color, they are more deeply colored where the glass is the thickest, on the stem and base. The bowl area is very thin and delicate.
Dating from the 1960s, they are a product of the Bjorkshult glass company of Sweden, known for both decorative and industrial glass ware, with production of very innovative and sleek mid century designs by Hans Christian Wagner and several others. The company was founded in 1892, with more modern production begun in 1934, continuing until 1974 when it was sold to a larger company.
Very sleek and modern forms, these glasses fit well with most any decor and are timeless in their design.
All in good condition, no chips or cracks.
