Product code: Swedish 50s vintage fabric retro print Stig Lindberg Pottery Mid century modern fabric hot 1950s scandinavian design designer fabric

hot Lovely piece of fabric by Swedish designer Stig Lindberg. This fantastic beautiful mid century modern pattern is called Pottery, and has an amazing pattern, with urnes, vases, ceramics, faces and hands. I love all these details!
The fabric is unused from roll. The background color is grey, and the fabric has beautiful, contrasting colors, in red, blue and yellow.

The extraordinary pattern, was first designed and printed 1947.
This is a reprint, made with the same stenciled, in the same factory, as the original.

Made in high quality 100 % cotton. The fabric is steady and heavy.

This stunning piece, would look amazing as a bag, a wall hanging decoration, or cushion covers. The last picture is showing the fabric, sewn as a cushion cover, for inspiration.

This item has insured and traceable shipping.

One of Sweden's most important postwar designers, Lindberg created whimsical studio ceramics and graceful tableware lines during a long career with the Gustavsberg pottery factory. Stig Lindberg studied painting at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design. In 1937, he went to work at Gustavsberg under Wilhelm Kåge. In 1949, he was named Kåge's successor as art director. From this period until he left Gustavsberg in 1980, he designed individual ceramic items, as well as factory produced ranges and lines of dinnerware. He achieved fame for his eccentric forms and whimsical decoration. In 1982, he died due to a myocardial infarction.
