The hot most important parts to any historical wardrobe are the proper underpinnings!

This listing is for MADE TO ORDER 18th century underpinnings that will create the perfect foundation for your 18 inch doll's 18th century wardrobe. The set is four pieces, and includes a shift, under petticoat, stays (corset), and a rump/bum pad.

The shift is made from white cotton, and closes at the neck with a snap.
The under petticoat is made of a natural-tone, linen/poly blend. It ties around the waist using ribbons from the front and back panels - just like they did in the 18th century! This petticoat is meant to be worn underneath another petticoat or gown, to increase fullness.
The stays are made in your choice of Saxon green linen, or golden yellow cotton. They are lined in either natural linen, or white cotton, respectively. The stays are fully boned and provide a smooth foundation under your doll's jacket or gown. These stays have shoulder straps which tie in the front with ribbons. The stays lace spirally with ribbon, through hand-sewn eyelets in the back.
Lastly, the rump is made of cotton ticking, and ties around the waist with ribbons to give her skirt a fashionably full shape!
