About Wood Carving
The art of carving has been found in the regions where Turks have lived for about 10 centuries. Carving is one of the traditional handicrafts that developed in Kahramanmaraş and still maintains its existence today. In carving, dried timbers of trees suitable for processing such as boxwood, oak, linden and especially walnut are used. Traditional motifs inspired by flowers, plants and animal shapes are embroidered on furniture and ornaments.
