The Lone Mountain Turquoise mine is located just outside of Tonapah, NV., and is a classic mine that's produced some very high quality Turquoise since 1920! Today this Turquoise hot is rare and difficult to come across; as there is quite a demand for it, but unfortunately the resources are very limited.
Lone Mountain Turquoise is known for its beautiful range of blues (from sky blue to deep robins egg blue) and greens, with unique black Chert and sometimes even some reddish-orange/reddish-brown matrix that often leads to gorgeous webbing!
This piece of sky blue Lone Mountain Turquoise has been polished on one side, and with the flat end cut it stands freely and displays gorgeously for any collector!! Of course this stone will also make excellent lapidary material if desired as well.
