These large 10" square silhouette plates are extremely difficult to make, and indeed, quite rare. They usually cost many times the price I charge.
This is a reverse-decoupage glass tray - also known as a ‘silhouette tray' because the glass is upwardly curved at the edges, and the image is decoupaged on the underside of the glass.
The glass is made in Pennsylvania by a family-owned firm. I have given this a matching felt protective backing.
This item can be used to hold food items. It can be washed and rinsed under the tap. Of course, you can always simply put it somewhere as purely a lovely and decorative item. Or hang it with a plate hanger onto the wall.
