Vintage 3-Piece Mid-Century Tailorbrooke Turquoise Wool and Silk Suit - Size 8-10 hot - Union Made

This is an amazing, vintage mid-century, 3-piece wool and silk suit by Tailorbrooke, featuring a jacket, straight skirt and short-sleeved shell top. The jacket and skirt fabric is an especially lovely textured wool weave in rich turquoise, and the top is crafted of a soft, silk crepe. The long-sleeve jacket is fully lined in the same silk crepe, and features a round collar and two welted pockets. The front opening features three buttons that fasten invisibly beneath unique, diamond-shaped plackets, and a single button-and-loop secure the neck opening. The short, jewel-neck top features cap sleeves, a short peplum waist with size slits, and buttons down the back. The straight skirt, also fully lined in silk crepe, has a side zipper and button closure.

The suit was expertly crafted by the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, The wool jacket and skirt are in excellent vintage condition with no stains or flaws. The silk shell has a small repair behind one button, which is invisible when the top is fastened, and a 3 1/4" long watermark stain at the upper right back (please see last photo).

The suit is labeled size 14 (vintage), but is a modern 8-10. Please see garment measurements below, and be sure to allow additional "wiggle room" for wearing.
