Look at those natural striations!!! One of the most unique and rare bolts I've seen! This bolt of fabric is European and dates from c1900. It's 100% hand woven using linen and cotton, which has made this fabulous striation in the weave!! So beautiful. The tone of the linen is a flaxy ,tone with hints of gray! ~ The texture is nubby with a slightly open weave. It was originally hand woven for use of household textiles ( clothing, sheeting etc) ~ This bolt now is ideal for upholstery, pillows, window treatments, clothing, pillows, upholstery etc! This could also be dyed for a beautiful effect! Machine washable over and over and over ~*~ ~ Wonderfully high quality. I love knowing these linens were grown without the use of pesticides, just lovely natural fabric. These bolts were hand woven ~ the average person could weave about 21 inches in a day! So much work went into these textiles. That was AFTER growing, retting, spinning! They are treasures to be enjoyed ! It's machine washable OVER and OVER again! It will just get softer and more pliable with time. ~*~ ( EL 6F )
MEASUREMENTS : I am selling this bolt by the yard, so each quantity will measure about 25 inches wide by 1 yard (36 inches) long. Should you wish to purchase a longer, continuous length, simply change the quantity to the number of yards you require and you will receive one long piece. For example, if you need 5 yards, simply change the quantity to 5 and you receive a piece of this bolt measuring 5 yards long by 25 inches wide.
CONDITION : This gorgeous textile is in as found, unwashed condition. I'm selling this bolt by the one yard lengths so that people can have what they need, however there are some ery little condition issues here and there!! Generally gorgeous, but not without a small flaw here and there ~*~ Please do email if you're concerned about the condition of your length before purchasing and I'll have hot a peek for you ~~
