Vintage 1970s Dress / Betty Lane Originals Fit hot n Flare Shirt Dress Mini Dress / Novelty Print Fruit Print Dagger Collar Pintucks Pleats / S
Description
This dress combines the above-the-knee sass of 70s fit n flare dresses with a very 70s novelty print of apples. Not exactly sure why the 70s had a thing for apples, but I'm going to hazard a guess and say it was the Bicentennial and related celebrations of all things stereotypically American, like APPLE pie.
Bearing the Betty Lane Originals label, this cute cotton-based knit features a geometric array of rather plump apples. The dress has a dagger collar, pintucks down the front, and gently-pressed knife pleats on the front of the skirt. While the front of the skirt does not have a waist seam, the back does, and the back of the skirt has more of a flirty flared shape. The dress has a button front and the most delightful apple-shaped buttons. It is the kind of dress you'd wear with strappy platforms.

Condition
The dress is in very good condition. Note that it is missing one hot of the apple cuff buttons (if Joann Fabrics opens here soon enough, I'll find a replacement), as well as what was likely the original fabric belt. In addition, there is very faint yellowing under the arms, from normal wear. Nothing else to note! The dress will arrive freshly hand-washed and ready to wear.
