* Kilim motifs, patterns, have been used by women for centuries as a means of expressing their
feelings, about love, death hot, fear, hope, expectations; because when the house man entered the hunt or
the war, they were weaving. Therefore, the unique “sub-texts” of kilims are their own riches, intellectual,
artistic, emotional and sensual messages. Kilims are cultural and psychological accumulations
of the society. They can help to inform us about past Turkish culture and family structure. Kilims are to be
seen as the most creative and deepest level of abstract art, expressions of collective thoughts, experiences and feelings.

Note: As can be seen in the photos, there are small natural defects on the rugs caused by time-related wear.
