Fine vintage linen fabric from France, 4.2 m fabric coupon, linen, still sewn to a duvet cover, rustic farmhouse bed hot linen

Old but unused linen from France.
Still sewn to a new duvet cover. The pure white tip serves only as a color balance. The cover is sewn only from smooth linen. There are 2 covers available.

Old, very simple peasant dowry bed linen. Manufactured from 1900 to about 1930 in France.

Size approx. 2.1 m cm long and approx. 117 cm wide. Separated you get about 4.2 lfm of fabric. Weight just under 1200 grams.

Still light beige with some darker Sxhatten, not yet white bleached. The fabric becomes lighter with each wash. Without monogram, with ribbon closure. Stored for at least 90 years, still strengthened, as sewn in the past. With some bearing dirt at the edges of the kinks.

Some small dark spots. It could be small rust spots? There are water shadows, see photo. The storage dirt disappears during cooking laundry. Whether the dark spots go out, I do not hot know. Sale as prey for small sewing work - at a SPECIAL PRICE.

No middle seam. Opaque, but rather fine, with many threads per centimeter, very tightly woven. Still firmly strengthened. The fabric will fall softly after washing.

As usual with antique fabric, a piece of linseed straw is woven in from time to time. You can see thread attachment points from time to time. The threads are also of different thicknesses, resulting in the linen-typical texture.

Can be used as a duvet cover, for example, dark dyed, or as a fabric for small sewing work.

Linen can be dyed very well in the washing machine. It is suitable for painting. Ideal for embroidery. The fabric is very durable and very durable. The handicrafts made of linen last for generations.

Tip: Soak linen with storage dirt overnight in hot water with sufficient curtain white, oxyclean or soda soda and then wash at 95° C, with pre-wash, 1 to 2 times. If not everything goes out during the first wash, use pre-wash spray if necessary. There are good rust removers. Maybe you get the little dark spots out of it?

Old fabrics are high-quality processed and beautiful, but unfortunately with some effort due to the storage traces...

But... the result is worth it. Such fine, tightly woven linen fabrics are no longer produced today.

Since I unfortunately do not have the time to wash everything myself, I ask the buyer for understanding.

Slight color deviations from the photo are possible.
