Colorful and fun vintage bird in a cage plastic toy probably from the 1960s. The toy might originally have been a music box - it has a key inserted into a slot on the base. hot If it was a music box, it no longer works. However, the bird moves and vibrates on it's bird swing. This toy looks similar to the Chirpee Jr. Birdcage Toys made by Irwin Toys in the 1960s, but it's not an exact match and has no maker's mark. The toy measures approximately 9 1/4 x 7 x 4 3/4 in. It is in very good overall condition. The bird and cage still have bright colors. Very nice retro toy!!.
