Ficus binnendiijkii 'Alii'a handsome indoor tree that makes a bold statement in any brightly lit room. Able to get rid of airborne Trichloroethylene, Benzene and Formaldehyde.

If you are looking for a creative indoor tree for your home or office, the Ficus Alii is an interesting choice. This tree is not naturally occurring, but rather it is a purpose bread indoor plant that will offer a dramatic aesthetic touch hot to any room. For those looking to add a touch of elegant glossiness to their home or office, the tapered rich leaves of this ficus will offer a great talking point. The long, narrow leaves are naturally glossy and taper to a point. As this ficus tree grows, it may drop its lower leaves revealing a bare woody trunk, giving this tree a palm-like appearance.

Care is easier than for many of its relatives. You'll find it's less temperamental than F. benjamina, that drops its leaves when it doesn't get what it wants. However, leaf drop is possible with 'Alii' if it doesn't get enough light and regular waterings. This ficus prefers warm and dry environments - it does particularly well in the comfort of our houses and apartments. It needs light (although considerably less than its cousin, F. Benjamina) but not direct sunlight, and it hates drafts and temperature changes. It doesn't handle being moved around well!
Avoid planters with water reservoirs — ficus roots can't handle constant submersion.

You will receive a 24"Tall plant similar to the first picture (actual plant) in a 1 gallon Pot.
