Hofbauer Byrdes Crystal Basket, Retired This is a stunning Hofbauer Byrdes collection crystal basket. It measures 6 3/4" in height but it called the 6" basket. It sells on replacement sites over $75.00 it has birds etched and pressed into glass and linear hot designs throughout. Wonderful for Easter, spring or summer, filled with flowers or candies or nothing at all No chips cracks or scratches - in pristine condition Hofbauer was a West Germany company that began producing crystal in late 1970's to 80's. It was fashioned by the finest craftsmen and hand-cut, acid polished and containing over 24% lead for crystal clarity and superb ring. The company burned down in 1990's and not rebuilt. Reasonable offers considered It does not come with its original box, I just found pictures of the original box as proof to it being a crystal basket.
