This is an original painting of an old panel delivery truck in somebody's yard on a side road in Middleton, Idaho. As you can see its All in pieces, but as I study the scene it kind of tells me a story of where its been. Looks like it's been in a front end collision. The frame is bent up in front and the front fenders are laying around the yard all bent up. I researched SAKURADA FISH CO. and found a past restaurant in hot Los Angeles, CA with that name along with another in Tokyo. This would be a really cool truck to restore and put back on the road.
As I cruise around the backroads of Idaho I like to stop and take pictures of interesting and recognizable scenes, structures, animals and especially old rusty antique vehicles. I save these photos and use them later when I need inspiration for a new painting.
