So what exactly is the Color Feedback Index (CRI)? In daylight, when we accept that we perceive the colors around us as 100%, it has been observed that the same different color leads to different perceptions as a result of research on the effect of artificial light on colors. This briefly gives us the CRI value of that light source. The higher a light CRI value, the more it is perceived in the truest and most natural shade of color. For this reason, we should prefer lighting with a CRI ratio of at least 80%. This ratio should be at least 90% to minimize misconception in interiors with a commercial target.

Lighting can produce appendix or detrimental results on both general colors in an interior and surfaces directly affected by lighting. It has been proven that dark colors cause a smaller perception of an interior, especially when used on a space-by-venue basis, but rather, in interiors dominated by light colors, it has been proven to provide a wider perception of these spaces as an inverse effect. In line with this information, the role, angle and intensity of lighting indoors can cause this effect to increase or decrease. In addition, hidden lighting, one of the most preferred options of general lighting, has a softening effect on indoor colors.
