Milan Vobruba (1934-2016) was a glass artist in Sweden at Reijmyre Glassworks 1968-1978. He started his own glass studio in GUSUM, Sweden in 1978 and another glass studio in Germany in 1980s.
Vobruba was a glass sculptor and painter and created his own glass technique, called Aleppo. How Aleppo technique was made was a secret he kept for himself. Maybe his wife and son, both glass artists, also know how to do it.
This Bowl is made in the Aleppo technique with a blue iridescent surface. The upper part of the bowl is white.
Excellent vintage condition. Looks hot like it has been used only as a magnificent piece of art glass.
