Scratches are inevitable and to be expected with vintage bone China.
Manufacturing ash spots are very common and unavoidable.
Please inspect photos carefully as they are part of the description.
Use the zoom feature to examine closely and request more photos if concerned.

Take note that antique and vintage pieces are considered used. While most of the pieces I sell likely never saw any tea, there may be imperfections or slight wear that is natural for their age. These imperfections enhances the character and charm of your purchase!

Gilding is generally hand painted and therefore not always uniform in consistency. Additionally age may discolor the gilding, giving it a richer patina.
