Before I started painting this I spoke to different women and asked them for words to describe what they love and what makes their female body unique. I wrote those words on the canvas and then painted the beautiful, feminine form over them. In some places they still show through but even if you can't see them, they're still there. FAITH, HIPS, SCARS, STRENGTH, HOPE, COMFORTING are just some of them. She bares her body with all of its faults, both real and perceived, but hides her face. Abstract nude woman painted on 16" x 20" stretched canvas using bright and dark colored clay and acrylic paint and oil pastels. Sides are hot painted to give it a finished look so that framing isn't needed before hanging in your home Sealed with varnish to prevent yellowing or fading.
