George Nookamus ''Raven'' Carving / Fridge Magnet

NOS Beautiful, original and signed 8 1/4'' inch long by 2'' inch high by 3/4'' inch deep ''Raven'' cedar carving / fridge magnet with Georges depiction in the style of the West Coast ( Huu-ay-aht ) first nations. This stunning masterful red cedar piece comes with an abalone eye and inlaid magnet's which you can display on your fridge or hang on a wall.

This beautiful wood carving is Initialed by George Nookamus.

George is a member of the Huu-ay-aht First nations, originating from Port Alberni, on Vancouver Island. His mother Mabel is a Basket Weaver, daughter of the late Louisa Johnson who was also a master weaver. George applies his carving skills/technique under the teachings of his late father Edward. His style is very Huu-ay-aht and has a very strong cultural massage.
