Description;

RARE Shelley tea cup and saucer features the Stratford shape in alternating panels of light blue and white. Gold print on panels and gold floral overlay. This is a very rare duo that was made between 1964 and 1966. This particular cup shape was produced for the Canadian Teaware market and came in a variety of colors. Please see our other listing for a matching Maroon duo. A vintage estate piece with no cracks, no chips, no crazing and no gold loss. Pings nicely. Please feel free to ask questions!

Shelley /Wileman was known hot for their high-quality English Fine Bone China. They were very successful and created a wide variety of beautiful shapes, patterns and colors up until the closure in 1966. The company no longer exists. The lovely sought-after pieces are becoming more and more difficult to find.

Fine English Bone China is no longer manufactured. The only opportunity to collect English Bone China is through the secondary market. This piece is an excellent example of truly fine quality and craftsmanship.
