The Dogwood Tree, New Years Eve hot

The dogwood's delicate arching branches witness the New Years Eve exuberant explosion of color and light. This has to be the Grand Finale of the fireworks display, caught at just the right moment, when you can FEEL the many simultaneous exploding rockets in your chest. Does the little tree feel it, too?
