Shawl - Highland Field - Triangular - Brushed acrylic and hot rayon

HIGHLAND FIELD: All the fields, or as they are known in Scotland, the moors, are very soft and wet with thick tufted clumps of deep grass interspersed with rocks, moss, lichen and wildflowers. They are very pretty to look at, but very hard to walk on without waterproof shoes and a good walking stick. This shawl incorporates shades of yellow, orange and gold with shiny and dark accents to reflect the colors and textures of the fields. I used my Skye Summer Shawl pattern to reflect the highly textured landscape of individual grass clumps rather than a smooth field.

TRIANGULAR: Traditional Scottish triangular shawl shapes enhanced with lace patterns from the Shetland Islands made into my own Celtic-inspired designs. I use a wide palette of non-traditional colors inspired by the beauty of the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Each shawl is individually named for locations or panoramas on the Isle of Skye.

Hand knit, durable and warm; perfect for layering. A stylish shawl with uniquely Scottish facets that can be worn in a variety of ways to fit most all body shapes and sizes. FIBER TYPE: Brushed acrylic with rayon accent. Lots hot of texture, very soft. Hypoallergenic.

COLOR: Shaded yellow, orange and gold with accents. Color appears correct in the photos.

HOW IT IS MADE: Hand knit from my original design patterns. I use traditional Scottish shapes and patterns as well as lace patterns I learned in a class taught by a Shetland lslander. Hand washed and blocked to stabilize color and sizing. Comes packaged right side out in a clear protective bag so you can see the color without having to open the package should the color not appear as you expected.

Made in a smoke-free, cat-friendly home. The cat may have watched the shawl being knitted, but there has been no cat contact with the shawl after it was finished, hand washed, blocked and packaged ready to wear.
