Antique Victorian 1850s-1899 silver plated crumb scoop with antler handle

~ MEASUREMENT: Scoop - 6-1/4" long x 2-1/2" wide / Handle - 7-1/2" / Total measurement - 13-3/4" long ; Very nice weight

Considered part of the Aesthetics Movement, presented here is a wonderful Victorian curiosity ... a silver plate crumb scoop tray with stag antler handle. The silver plate scoop is covered with finely etched stylized flowers. Beautiful stag horn forms the handle. Scoop and he handle are held in together with ornate silver plate collar.

~ CONDITION: Has an overall wonderful look, with wear commiserate with its 100+ year age. Antler handle is beautiful! No cracks or chips. Silver plate collar, has a little ding on the front side. Scoop front has wear and aging to silver plate, with brass showing through. Nothing that, for me takes away from its overall viewing beauty. The back of tray shows wear due to age and use. SHIPPING NOTE: My number one priority is the safe shipping of your item. Bubble wrap, while protective, can sometimes be too stiff for a very fragile item, and the plastic bubbles, can also leave permanent round marks on old metal, stone or resin. I order very soft cushioned pads from our local medical supply, and wrap each item first, in these protective pads, and then additional packing such as bubble wrap, and protective cardboard are added ... depending on the individual needs of each item.

Old iron, is quite fragile. Each piece is carefully wrapped with all of the above. Most large pieces are shipped via FedEx - Insured - Signature Required, unless you notify me otherwise.
